Franziska Baumann – vocals/electronics  - Switzerland
Franziska Baumann, an internationally acclaimed vocalist, composer and sound artist is experienced in a diversity of improvised and composed music.  As a vocalist she explores the human voice as a multi-faceted instrument expanding traditional boundaries. She has developed an extensive vocabulary of experimental and extended vocal techniques such as multiphonics and glottal clicks and a variety of unique microtonal, timbre-modifying and percussive vocal techniques that have become her "signature sounds". Her research interests include the voice as a medium between instrument and potentials of human feelings and human society by causing unusual ways of listening and consciousness. As a composer her repertoire is diverse and includes commissions for electroacoustic and improvised projects to experimental radioworks, large-scale site-specific sound environments and installations, all of which are characterized by a very personal language.  As "artist in residence" in the STEIM "Studio for ElectroInstrumental Music", Amsterdam, she developed an interactive SensorLab based Sensorglove. Mainly in solo performances she uses the Sensorglove. This interactive SensorLab-based cyberglove (her own development while staying at the STEIM Studio for ElectroInstrumental Music in Amsterdam) gives her total control over her articulations and the acoustics via gestures and movement.
Concert tours have taken her to the Netherlands, Germany, France, Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania, Italy, Spain, South Corea, USA and Canada.  Radio: diverse Portraits auf DRS2, Deutschlandradio, Südwestfunk. She is a professor for non-idiomatic improvisation-composition and vocal performance at the Berne University of Music, Switzerland.

Henrik Munkeby Nørstebø – trombone – Norway
Born 1986 in Trondheim, is a trombonist working mostly within contemporary fields of music. Educated in improvised music and jazz from the music academies in Gothenburg (BA) and Oslo (MA), he is now based in the Norwegian capital. His ambiguous relationship with the trombone has led to the exploration of the boisterous and brassy side of the instrument, as well as it’s microscopic and ‘electronic’ sound possibilities. Utilizing a wide spectrum of playing techniques, from pure long tones to noise and the almost inaudible, he often works with music balancing the intuitive with the precisely constructed. Having toured actively since 2010, he has played at clubs and festivals in more than 20 European countries, as well as Japan. His discography counts over 20 releases, and contains a.o. records in duos with Swedish pianist Rasmus Borg and Austrian sound artist Daniel Lercher. Nørstebø’s time is divided between his regular projects; improv trios As deafness increases, Lana trio, Whirl (with Tobias Delius) and Nørstebø/Strid/de Heney, new music ensemble Aksiom and the freejazzpop-band Skadedyr. He is also a member of several project  based groups, and have appeared in a myriad of ad hoc settings. In fall 2015 his second solo record will be released on the label SOFA, followed by extensive touring in Europe and further afield.

It was during this time that John received his first exposure to improvised music, participating in a number of groups in and around Brisbane. He has since played with a number of artists including Shoji Hano, Jeff Henderson, Kris Wanders, Madoka Kouno, Elliott Dalgleish, and the Stasis Duo, and appears on recordings released by the [Array] and Homophoni labels. Luc Houtkamp – Saxophones – Netherlands
Luc is a composer/improviser who bridges the gap between different worlds of music. Having a background in jazz & improvised music as a saxophone player, his musical goal is to establish a continuum between improvisation and composition in which the difference between the two dissolves. With the aid of computers and live electronics as well as various forms of music notation his compositions are highly personal in both sound and concept. Stylistic freedom is not a post-modern cliché, but based on his belief that musical style is secondary in importance and they’re to serve the expressive quality of the music itself. His main interest in his pieces is the way in which the musicians play together, and how this can be directed by means of composition and the use of computers. After a long-standing career as an improvising musician, Houtkamp established his own POW Ensemble in 2002. Being a flexible unit of musicians with musical backgrounds in jazz, rock, electronic and contemporary music, it soon became the ideal body for the performance of his own composition.

He samples the acoustic sound of players' instruments and remixes them on-the-fly, using a set of DSP tools that allow expressive macro-control of micro-level automated/generative audio transformations. He also makes music solo, applying his patches to guitar, voice, found sound and field recordings, producing lonely drone pop and glitchy, psychedelic soundscapes. His other projects include a radio show, recording and mixing bands, and a novelty mashup-DJ act. He has worked on music for installations, theatre, e-publications, film, and dance.
